Best Rodent Control in Austin
Central Texas residents and business owners alike are familiar with rodents. Some of the most common calls our team receives about rodents are related to getting mice out of the attic and addressing rodent trapping in walls. Although their small stature might suggest otherwise, rats and mice are capable of some big damage. Some rodent problems we address with our comprehensive rodent management process include:
- Rodent droppings, often found in areas like kitchens, near baseboards on walls and under sinks
- Tainted food from ripping or chewing
- Rodent damage repair and prevention (rat wall at foundation of Austin home—more on rat walls below)
- Grease marks along walls and doors where rats and mice travel through your Austin home
- Dead rodent removal
How to Get Rid of Austin Rodents
It can be difficult to perform effective rodent control yourself if you don’t have the knowledge, equipment and time to keep the constantly-booming numbers in check. Rodents are very unhygienic, and dead rodents present even more hazard than live rodents. We will perform effective rodent trapping, rodent prevention and rodent exclusion methods to make your Austin home unfavorable to mice and rats.
Rat Walls
What exactly is a rat wall? (No, it's not a wall made of rats). A rat wall, as it's colloquially known as, is simply a barrier put in place to keep animals that burrow (not just rats) from getting under your patio, deck, or home foundation. Since burrowing animals are skilled at digging, it's important that the rat walls extend a bit below the ground to make sure the rodents aren't successful in their attempt to get in.
Materials necessary for a solid and effective rat wall include concrete, as seen in the After photo, and hardware cloth, seen in the Before photo (while prepping for the concrete pour).
